Manchester City beat West Ham to record 20th league win

Premier League leaders Manchester City edged out stubborn West Ham to record their 20th consecutive win in the league.

Pep Guardiola looked on course to extend their league at the top backed by his strong midfield options who were on target again as Stones found the winner in the second half.

The host took the lead in the 30th minute when Dias utilized a Kevin De Bruyne assist before West Ham striker Antonio levelled things up for the visitors thirteen minutes later.

Gabriel Jesus and Foden were brought in the second half in place of Sergio Aguero and Torres as Stones doubled the lead in the 68th minute and cement their authority at the top of the league.

The win now takes Guardiola’s side thirteen points clear of second placed Manchester United who are yet to play their weekend fixture against Chelsea on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

It will be a tough match for Ole Gunner as Thomas Tuchel are a roll to complete a Champions League spot as they sit in fifth position with 43 points so far.

Leicester could however steal the show if they beat Arsenal on Sunday as they also sit on third position and level on points with Manchester United.Manchester City
