Arsenal suffered their third defeat in a row in the Premier League going down five goals to nil against Manchester City at Etihad Stadium.

The loss piles more pressure on coach Mikel Arteta who has been urged to step down or the club’s management to take action and fire him as soon as possible.

After resting key players in their second clash against Chelsea, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang started upfront receiving support from Saka and Emile Smith Rowe who have been critical in Arteta’s squad.

Quick goals by Gundogan and Torres gave the host a two goal advantage before Xhaka was sent out after receiving a straight red card due to tripping. Gabriel Jesus ensured it was 3-0 before the break thanks to a Jack Grealish assist in the 45th minute.

Mohamed Elneny came in the second half for Saka but barely seven minutes in Rodri netted the fourth of the day before Torres doubled his tally and ensured maximum number of points and goals were collected.

The loss leaves Arsenal at the bottom of the table without a single goal in their third fixture. It is the worst start of the season for the Gunners.
