in addition to the ban, City has also received a 25 million pound fine.

The good news is that they still can file an appeal at the Court of Arbitration that deals with sports.

In a statement following the decision, City said that they were not surprised but felt disappointed.

They have however vowed to launch an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for sports.

“With this prejudicial process now over, the Club will pursue an impartial judgment as quickly as possible and will, therefore, in the first instance, commence proceedings with the Court of Arbitration for Sport at the earliest opportunity”

The ruling does not, however, affect Manchester City women.

In addition to the ban, Pep Guardiola’s side risk being deducted some points in the English Premier League.
