Manchester United and Arsenal slip in the top four battle

Manchester United and Arsenal slip in their top four Premier League race following defeats in their Sunday fixtures.

Manchester United were humiliated at home to Everton going down four goals to nil, the second defeat for Solskjaer in less than a week.

Everton opened scoring in the 13th minute through Richarlsion before Sigurdsson doubled the lead fifteen minutes later.

Manchester United were forced to make crucial second half changes bring in Ashley Young and Mc Tominay in place of Jones and Fred respectively.

The substitutes bore no fruits as two more goals were added in the 56th minute and 64th minute through Digne and Theo Walcott.

Arsenal defeat to Crystal Palace.

Arsenal suffered a 2-3 loss at home by Crystal Palace going down a goal in the first half.

Mesut Ozil equalized for Emery Unai’ men as they took control and threatened to add more goals but a miscommunication blunder from Mustaphi led to Crystal Palace second goal through Zaha.

The visitors added a third one through a corner pilling more pressure for Arsenal who pushed harder to bounce back.

Aubameyang doubled the lead for Gunners when he dribbled past Crystal Palace defense before thumping home beating Palace keeper.

The host lost clear chances in the final minutes of the game with Aubameyang and Maitland-Niles failing to hit the target.
