Manchester United is expected to respond to FA who have charged them over their behavior during their clash against Liverpool.
In a letter drafted by FA, Manchester United noted the conduct in which the players acted following a foul committed by Van Dijk in the 26th minute.
The players noticeably surrounded referee Craig Pawson in anger following the airball challenge.
- Manchester United to seal Bruno Fernandes’s transfer
- Arsenal beat Manchester United to hand Arteta first EPL win
The letter further requests the Red Devils to respond by Thursday over the breach of FA rule E20(a).
Speaking after the defeat, manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer did not comment much about but said he too was angered by the challenge.
The 2-0 defeat leaves United five points shy of the top four positions as Liverpool proves too hot to stop.
