In the 60th minute, the host equalized through Moumi Ngamaleu from Cameroon before netting the winner in extra time through Jordan Siebatcheu who took advantage of Jesse Lingard’s error.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will now face Villareal in their next fixture in group F with the two sides expected to renew their Europa League rivalry.
The loss comes days after the Red Devils thrashed Newcaste 4-1 as Cristiano Ronaldo netted twice in his debut. Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard were also on target.
