Manchester United late goal sinks Southampton

Manchester United came from behind to beat tough side Southampton at the Old Trafford on Saturday.

Southampton took a surprising lead through Yan Valery with an outstanding 25-yard strike sending them ahead in the first half.

Two goals from Manchester United In the second half brought back the Red Devils to the game.

Andreas Pereira opened the scoring with a spectacular long-range strike before setting up one for Romelu Lukaku who made it 2-1.

Southampton fought back through James Ward-Prowse after being awarded a free kick in the 75th minute.

It was Romelu Lukaku late strike that gave Manchester United a decisive three points through a calm finish.

French man Paul Pogba missed a chance to score a fourth for the Red Devils when Angus Gunn saved his shot.

The win takes Manchester United a point ahead of Arsenal and three points behind third placed Tottenham.

Manchester United coach proves again

Manchester United interim coach Solskjaer has again proved critics wrong by taking the club to just three points shy of third place.

Having been appointed interim manager, his performance has been spectacular registering win after win.
