Real Madrid and Manchester United have reached an agreement in principal to sign French defender Raphael Varane.
“Manchester United is delighted to announce the club has reached agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of French international defender and World Cup winner, Raphaël Varane, subject to a medical and to player terms being finalised.” Said Manchester United.
The news puts to rest the confirmation as the player has been interested with a Premier League experience with Manchester United in mind to fulfil his dream.

“Raphaël Varane unveiling as Manchester United player expected next week, due to quarantine rules. Varane’s camp still working on it.” Said Fabrizio
He however showed respect for Real Madrid amid the talks as he was present during training until today when he was absent as both clubs agreed on a price for the Frenchman.
“Manchester United are in direct contact with Real Madrid for Raphaël Varane since one week. Varane wants a Premier League experience but he’ll be respectful. He’s not breaking his relationship with Real.” Said Fabrizio.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is reported to have handed the Frenchman a four year contract with the option to extend it to June 2026 after reaching personal agreement.
“Raphaël Varane contract with Manchester United will be on a four-years basis with option to extend until June 2026. Personal terms agreed since days and paperworks prepared in the last few hours.” Said Fabrizio Romano.
