Margaret Nyakang’o sworn in as Controller of Budget

Chief Justice David Maraga has on Wednesday sworn in Ms. Margaret Naykang’o as the Controller of Budget.

Preceding over the event, CJ David Magara wished Ms. Margaret all the best in her new role.

“Just sworn in Dr. Margaret Nyakango, new Controller of Budget at the Supreme Court this afternoon.

The Office plays an important role in ensuring the prudent and planned use of public funds.”

He continued by reminding the second holder of the office to uphold the rule of law.

The appointment of Ms. Nayakang’o follows the appointment made by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

She underwent vetting as at last week before Members of the Parliament approved her apoiuntment.

Ms, Margaret will replace Agnes Odhiambo whose stay at the office ended in August 2019.
