The newly registered United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has on Friday picked Margaret Wanjiru as their flag bearer in the coming Nairobi by-election.
The former Starehe MP was presented with the party’s certificate by Johnson Muthama at the party’s officers in Kilimani, Nairobi.
Others selected by the party include former Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Muia who will vie for the Machakos Senatorial seat come March 2021.

Evans Kaikai and Alex Kanya have also been selected as the party’s bearers for the upcoming Kubuchai and Matungu by-election.
Present at the meeting was Elgeyo Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri and Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagwa.
The first by election will be that of Nairobi set for February 18 following the impeachment of Mike Sonko by the Senate.
Both Kabuchai and Matungu by-elections will be held on 4th March with that of Machakos following on 18th March as confirmed by IEBC.
