Former Inter star McDonald Mariga has been cleared by the Independent and Electoral Commission, IEBC to vie for the Kibra seat.
Making the announcement was IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati who confirmed that McDonald Mariga was indeed registered.
The news comes after the Kibra aspirant through his lawyer filed a complaint that he was registered voter and requested Chebukati led team to investigate.
Initially, he had presented evidence that he had participated in an earlier election but it was not enough to convince he was registered.
Passing the judgment, Wafula said that the previous reason as to why his proposal was declined has been set aside and that he is cleared to vie.
