“The late Chief Francis Kariuki or the ‘Tweeting Chief’ as he was popularly known was a devoted public servant and a genuine team player. I remember him as a reasonable administrator who set an example for others to follow.” Said CS Matiang’i.
The Interior CS continued by promising to support his family without any fear just like he stood by the service.
“We his colleagues in the National Government Administration are as strong as we stand together and we will support his young family diligently and without fear just as he stood with us.” Said CS Matiang’i.
Chief Kariuki passed away back in October 2020 in what the family revealed to be respiratory illness.
Before meeting his death, he gained recognition globally for using Twitter to combat crime and as a mode of communication between administrators effectively.
