After a barren first half, France was definitely frustrated as Olivier Giroud failed to surpass Thierry Henry’s goal tally that he has equalized thanks to two goals during their opening clash against Australia.

Mbappe who was being booed over his performance silenced his critics when he cut across a Theo Hernandez pass, a move that he had initiated in the first half giving Les Blues the lead.

The lead however lasted for seven minutes as Christensen equalized for Denmark when his free header went past Hugo Lloris in the 68th minute.

After a push and pull, Atletico Madrid midfielder Griezmann’s cross in the 86th minute met Mbappe who put across his body to win it for the French.

The win sends France on top of group D with six points ahead of Australia who have three points, Denmark with one point and Tunisia bottom of the table without a point.
