The Media Council of Kenya has welcomed the news by Homeboyz Radio firing three of their presenters namely Shaffie Weru, DJ Joe Mfalme and Neville Muysa.
In a statement issued by the council, they reveal their knowledge of the comments aired by the trio on 26th March in regard to an incident involving one Eunice Wangare who was thrown off 12th floor of a building.
After flagging off the matter, MCK demanded an apology from the station for violating journalism code of conduct which was released by the station and through their social media pages.

It is in that regard that the Media Council of Kenya commends the action by the station by taking action against the individuals which is a sign of commitment to uphold ethical standard in their programming.
The statement follows a release issued by the radio station confirming that their parent company has also reached a decision to fire the trio over their Thursday comments.
They promised to undertake regular training for their presenters as well as their social media handlers on matters gender based violence.
Kenya Breweries also called for action from Homeboyz Radio noting that the comments were against their code of conduct.
