A family of four in Meru County has been burnt beyond recognition when their house caught fire on Sunday morning.
The four included a husband, wife and their two male children who perished when their wooden house caught fire.
Their bodies were found in one of the rooms believed to be that of their children in what appeared to an attempt to rescue them.

Neighbors and relatives were woken up at 3:30 am with screams but they were unable to make through the fierce fire.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Consolata Mission Hospital.
