Migori students beat security guard to death over light bulbs

A security guard based at Uriri Vocational Training Centre in Migori succumbed to injures after he was beaten by the students.

Th students are reported to have attacked the guard with blunt objects following disagreements over light bulbs.

The incident begun a while ago after the guard attacked three students over the bulbs accusing them of stealing them.

Confirming the incident to Citizen TV was Uriri police boss Peter Njoroge who said the deceased was rushed to Migori Level Four hospital following the attck.

He however succumbed to the injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital.

The institution has been closed indefinately as the police work around the clock to bring to book those involved in his death.
