Ministry of Sports waives Kip Keino Classic gate fees

The Ministry of Sports has on Friday waived gate fees for Kip Keino Classic set for Saturday at Kasarani stadium.

Cabinet Secretary (CS) Amina Mohamed called on Kenyans to turn up in large numbers to support their stars.

“Entry to the Kasarani Stadium for tomorrow’s Kip Keino Classic is now FREE of charge after the government through the Ministry of Sports waives gate fees.”

The Ministry of Sport noted how excited they are to host an event that has attracted over 160 athletes and soon to be world champions.

“The Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage is proud to host the 3rd Edition of the World Athletics Continental Tour, dubbed Kip Keino Classic, at the Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani tomorrow.

The tour is named after the retired Kenyan track and field athlete Kipchoge Keino who was a two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time Olympic silver medallist in 1968 and 1972.

We are excited about the line-up that brings together 160 athletes who have confirmed participation in tomorrow’s World Athletics Continental Tour, Kip Keino Classic. The event brings together Olympic champions, existing world champions, and soon to be world champions.” Said Ministry of Sports
