Kirinyanga Businessman Mbogo Ndabiri who went missing since Tuesday has been found dead.
Mr. Mbogo’s body was found floating in Rupingazi River in Mbeere sub-county after some farm employees went to the river to fix a water pump.
It was a somber mood in his home Kianyaga market as news of his body being found came in.
Most of the residents termed the businessman as an inspiration to the young people. Mr. Mbogo was a wealthy man and had a vast empire making him an important person in the county.
The river where his body was found is just near his farm as it forms the boundary between Embu and Kirinyaga counties.
Speaking after the incident, Mbeere South OCPD Mr. Ahmed Mohammed said he was away for Idd-Ul-Adha at the time of his disappearance while his Kirinyaga counterpart Dorothy Gaitenga said she was yet to receive any updates.
Mr. Mbogo’s body has been taken to Embu Level Five Mortuary.
