Moi Hospital discover male intern impersonating as a woman

A male intern attached to Moi Hospital in Eldoret has been arrested for impersonating to be a woman.

The suspected nurse who was handling the emergency sections raised eyebrows when nurses at Moi hospital failed to find her name Shieys Chepkosgei in the intern list.

She was later arrested and detained at Eldoret GK Women Prison. It was during the routine checks that the officers discovered that she was not a woman.

In addition to that, the suspect identified as Hillary Kiprotich also participated in a number of international marathons as a female athlete and even won medals.

Appearing before the court Kiprotich aka Chepkosgei admitted to be a man but associate well with being a female.

Resident Magistrate Obulutsa ruled that the suspect be remanded for ten more days as investigations continue.

An examination into his gender has been requested with the next hearing scheduled for June 27.
