Moi University main campus closed indefinitely

Moi University main Campus in Eldoret has been closed indefinitely following riots at the institution.

Students from Moi University engaged police in running battles on Friday as they demonstrated a list of issues among them school personnel.

Information reaching News Moto reveals that the students had issued a written notice to the school administration of a planned demonstration.

The administration replied back saying that the issues addressed are being dealt with therefore no need to demonstrate.

On Friday morning the students, however, took to the roads of Eldoret calling for better food at the institution among other issues.

Police arrived lobbying teargas in the air to disperse the students.

On Monday students from Kenyatta University held demonstrations along the Thika SuperHighway.

The students were demonstrating poor management among other issues.

Police lobed teargas to calm the situation as vehicles were destroyed in the process.

Kenyatta University was later closed indefinitely as the administration reported destruction as the institution.
