Residents of Mombasa County have on Friday set tyres on fire and even blocked the Nairobi-Highway over the distribution of relief food.

The angry residents blocked the Kibarani highway causing a huge traffic snarl-up demanding answers as to why they have not received any relief food from the County Government.

Reports reaching Newsmoto is that some residents of Mombasa are being sidelined in the registration exercise because they live in ‘gorofas’

They have remained silent on the issue as they point an accusing finger to the area chiefs who sideline them knowing very well the pandemic has affected everyone at the moment.

Some residents have only heard about the relief food distribution without getting a touch of it despite having been registered raising questions on how the exercise is being done.
