A mob in Mombasa has on Tuesday morning lynched to death two machete welding men in Mbaraki area as they attempted to rob a woman.
The five member gang saw three of them escape as confirmed by witnesses who spoke to Nation after the incident.
Speaking to Nation was Mombasa police boss Joseph Ongaya who confirmed that the incident happened at 5 am and that the police have launched a manhunt of the three others.

Police in the coastal city have intensified operations following increased cases of robbery involving machete welding gangs in some of the busies areas including Bamburi.
The news comes barely a week after three tourists were attacked during the day by three teenagers’ at Old Town area as captured by a nearby CCTV camera.
Residents are now calling on the police to intensify operations as the cases are hindering their businesses and day to day lives.
