Monica Okoth challenges DNA results, set to release hers

Monica Okoth the wife to the late Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth has disputed the just released DNA results.

According to the lawyer of Monica Okoth, the widow has genuine results that contradict the previous one that proved the son was indeed Ken Okoth’s.

Following the revelation, Monica has been granted 14 days to file her case before the court for a hearing to be heard.

This month the DNA results collected before the late Ken Okoth’s disputed burial revealed that he was indeed the father of MCA Ann Thumbi’s son.

The DMA was collected after both parties held a closed-door discussion after the Ann Thumbi filed an injunction blocking the burial of the legislator.

Ann Thumbi and Ken Okoth secret affair came in the picture following revelations by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

According to the Nairobi Governor, it was not fair to deny the son the right to pay his dad his last respect.

He further continued by saying he knew about the affair and that it will settle well with him if he opens up the matter.

Another controversy that came up was that of cremating the body of the late MP as the family of the late legislator disagreed with.

They blamed the wife of Ken Okoth of coming up with issue claiming it was as per her husband’s will before passing on.

The family was however surprised when they had the Kibra MP was already cemented early Saturday morning.

Currently, the seat is rendered vacant as a by-election is set to take place on 7th November 2019.
