A New York City court has sentenced Morgan Freeman’s step granddaughter killer to 20 years in jail.
Lamar Davenport was accused of killing E’Dena Hines and was on Thursday he was sentenced to 20 years in prison by Manhattan D.A Cyrus R. Vance Jr.
E’Dena was Lamar’s girlfriend at that time in 2015 before stabbing Morgan Freeman’s step granddaughter several times as he screamed about religion.
Lamar was initially charged with man slaughter before being acquitted of second degree murder after his lawyer proved that his client was on PCP at that time.
However a judge rulling found him guilty of first degree man slaughter therefore being sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Lamar will be place on a post-release supervision for five years after being released from prison.
