MP Johana Ng’eno charged with hate speech, says DPP

The DPP has leveled charges against Emurua Dikir legislator Johana Ng’eno following his dramatic arrest on Monday.

In his speech on Sunday, the MP was quoted addressing the President over their now not good relationship with his Deputy William Ruto.

He called on the President to step aside if they cannot work on their difference as he prepares to retire come 2022.

The National Police forwarded the complaint to the DPP who upon investigations approved his prosecution saying his speech was to incite different ethnicities.

Ng’eno was also recorded reminding the President that the country was not his personal property.

The news come a time when the government and security forces are fighting to end political ethnicity within the country.

Politicians have been the prime suspects of fueling hatred among people living in the high volatile areas of the country.
