Mr Ngigi resigns as Longhorn Publishers MD

Longhorn Publishers have appointed Mr. Maxwell Wahome as the Acting Group Managing Director effective immediately.

The appointment follows the resignation of Group Managing Director Mr. Samuel Ngigi with effect 12th July 2018 following his decision to leave the Group to pursue his personal interest.

Mr. Maxwell joined the Group in September 2016 and has been serving as the Chief Operation Officer.

Mr. Maxwell holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting) from the University of Nairobi and he is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Strategic Planning from the Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Business School. Mr Wahome previously worked in the Assurance Practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers Nairobi and Johannesburg for 11 years.

Mr Ngigi will however continue to serve the Group over the next three months to facilitate a smooth transition in the leadership of the Group.

Mr Ngigi joined the Group in May 2015 as the Managing Director and has, over the last three (3) years, led the successful implementation of the Company’s 2015-2018 strategy.

The Board took time to thank Mr Ngigi for his dedicated service to the Group during his tenure as the Group Managing Director.
