Multi-agency teams in Laikipia escort students back home

A multi-agency security teams have escorted students of Ol Moran Secondary in Laikipia back to their homes in Laikipia North and Samburu respectively.

The students who were returning home after completing their first term school calendar are reported to have received the best protection as revealed by the school’s principal John Kimathi.

“Multi-agency security teams in Laikipia County on Saturday escorted Ol Moran Secondary School students to their various homes in Lonyek, Laikipia North and Suguta Marmar in Samburu County.

The students were returning home after a successful first term for this year’s academic calendar. The School’s Principal Mr. John Kimathi thanked the troops for their proactiveness and readiness to support the community whenever called upon and urged them not to relent.” Said National Police Service.

The news comes at a time when the multi-agency security teams beefed up their operations to ensure that business resumes and that residents are protected against the ongoing clashes.

“The launch of the multi-agency operation by the government in early September made possible the reopening of schools and resumption of normal business operations. Robust multi-agency patrols continue in the region towards enhancing security for the residents.” Said National Police Service
