Ivy Wangechi’s murder suspect Naftali Kinuthia is set to enter into a plea bargain with the DPP in order to get a lighter sentence.
The new developments by Naftali Kinuthia were reported through his lawyer Mbiyu Kamau requesting a delay in his hearing.
Already seven witnesses had been aligned to appear before the court including Ivy Wangechi’s mother Winfred King’ori.
Winfred was expected to appear before the court on Tuesday but was informed the hearing had been postponed.

She, however, vowed to obey the court orders and that they will fight to ensure justice prevails.
Also brought before the attention of the prime suspect was new evidence that he requested more time to go through.
Ivy Wangechi, the victim was a medical student at Eldoret where she was reported to have been stubbed by the suspect.
Naftali who was revealed to have a jilted lover was angered by Ivy whom she accused of ignoring him.
An attempt to request for bail was turned down by the High Court as the judge noted the nature of the incident as unacceptable.
