Naivasha mother poisons to death her four children

A Mother of four from Naivasha is reported to have poisoned to death her four children aged between eight years and two years.

The woman identified as Beatrice locked her children after committing the act and fleeing the area.

Area residents who learnt of the news were shocked as they crowded at the scene of the incident.

The brother to the mother spoke to Citizen TV confirming the incident as he said his sister had been laid off following the coronavirus pandemic.

Naivasha police boss also confirmed the incident saying the woman went into hiding in Kayole estate where she was caught and arrested.

The incident is among many others feared by the Ministry of Health caused by the adversity of the coronavirus pandemic.

Mental issues are on the rise following the pandemic caused by lack of employment among the low income earners in the country.

Cases of domestic violence have also been on rise with the government calling on government agencies to tackle the issue.
