Nakuru East MP David Gikaria has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a voter at a poling station in his constituency.

“We arrested him after he assaulted and injured a voter. He has also caused a lot of commotion and disturbance at the polling station and we are not going to allow that,” said Mr. Peter Mwanzo

The Legislator has since been held at the Nakuru Central Police Station as the voter was taken to the hospital to receive treatment of injuries he sustained on the head as a result of the assault.

Mr. Gikaria is not new to controversies as he was arrested back in June following gang links causing terror in the city of Nakuru.

This is after the notorious confirm gang committed a series of murders targeting women at Mawanga area forcing the police to react and contain the situation.
