Police have arrested a 27-year-old man after he stabbed to death his 60-year-old mother-in-law in Sogocho village, Nakuru County.
“Murder suspect Stephen Marigi Ngari who yesterday attacked and killed his 60-year-old mother-in-law at Elburgon’s Sogocho village in Nakuru County is in our custody.” Said DCi
The suspect is reported to have gone to the deceased house to pick up his wife and two children who were seeking refugee following a domestic quarrel.

“The 27-year-old suspect was reported to have gone to pick his wife and two children at the deceased’s home where she (the wife) had sought refuge following prolonged family squabbles.” Said DCI
Armed with a knife, Stephen Marigi Ngari attacked his mother-in-law killing him on the spot before turning the heat on his wife’s brother stabbing him on the back.
“Armed with a knife, the bloodthirsty agent ambushed the elderly woman at her kitchen stabbing her at the left side of the chest thus killing her instantly. He then turned to his wife’s youngest brother who was coming to his mom’s rescue, stabbing him on the back.” Said DCI
A neighbour who responded to the distress escaped with serious mouth injuries before a crowd neutralized the suspect disarming him after a thorough beating.
“Another neighbour who responded to the family’s distress call narrowly escaped with his life after he was also attacked and sustained grievous mouth injuries.
The onslaught attracted a crowd which neutralized the suspect from causing further harm, restraining him after a thorough beating.
As the two injured men who had oozed a lot of blood continue receiving treatment at a local hospital, the suspect also remains at the same hospital under guard, being treated after which he will be arraigned for his crime.” Said DCI
