Nanyuki court frees man who stabbed his promiscuous wife

A Nanyuki High Court has freed a man who stabbed his wife after finding her in bed with another man.

The ruling follows a successful appeal by Michael Kimondo who argued that punishment back in 2018 was severe and in excess.

Passing the judgement, Magistrate Hatari Waweru said that before a court makes a decision it should consider the level of provocation caused to the man due to the wife’s behavior.

Judge Waweru continue by saying that only a foolish man would agree to sleep with another man’s wife at his home.

It is due to such behaviors that make people commit serious actions just like what Michael did.

Waweru however warned that it is unlawful for anyone under such circumstances to take the law into their own hands.

Michael had returned home from work in 2014 when he found his wife with another man by the name David Kamau in his bed.

He attacked his wife’s lover before turning his anger to his wife stabbing her.
