Nation Media Group has on Wednesday issued a memo to all its staff notifying them of extended salary reductions to December 2020.
According to the memo titled re-organisation, the giant media house first explains how the pandemic has negatively impacted many businesses with some closing down completely ot scaling down operations.
It is because of the challenges that Nation Media Group has prioritized re-engineering as they focus at producing the best content for their readers.

In order to meet its objective a new group of people will be recruited with those already in place to be phased out.
The salary reduction already in place will be extended up to 31 st December 2020 and those affected will receive termination letters as per the laws of the country.
Other areas of attention by NMG includes shifting of attention from printing newspaper to going online as they explore other sources of revenue.
They further confirmed that the process of retrenching some of their staff begins Friday 3rd July 2020.
Arrangements are already in place to provide counselling to the affected employees including provision of relocation allowance to those living in far areas.
Those with insurance covers will continue to access them for a period of two months before it is stopped with the option to continue at their own cost.
