Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi has officially joined United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Havi was welcomed by Deputy President William Ruto and is set to vie for Westlands Parliamentary seat in the upcoming election.
The news comes barely a week after the current Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi declared his interest to vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat under the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

He will also defect Amani National Congress(ANC) under Musalia Mudavadi, a party that he joined in May as he he ventured into politics.
“Good to receive lawyer NelsonHavi, the President of the Law Society of Kenya, who has declared interest to contest the Westlands parliamentary seat on a United Democratic Party ticket.” Said DP Ruto
The vocal lawyer has not been shy from controversy supporting the return of deported lawyer Dr. Miguna Miguna who was denied entry into the country following the government issuance of red alerts.
Recently he represented ousted FKF President Nick Mwendwa claiming that he can represent anyone who needs his service.
“I am a lawyer. I represent anyone who needs my services. I represented Nick Mwendwa because he was frustrated. I will represent everyone, even the devil himself,” Said Havi
