Following his release, Nelson Havi maintained innocence saying the allegations are meant to harass him. Havi made it clear during a media briefing that the suspended CEO and her accomplices are working hard to conceal financial fraud at the society.
“Theft is theft! It is no less if committed by a woman. Mercy Wambua is shielding her principals, two immediate former Presidents of LSK from liability for plunder of hundreds of millions. Falsely shouting through paid journalists that ‘Nelson Havi assaulted me’ won’t help.” Said Havi
Fellow members confirmed that Mercy was not assaulted as she claimed but her laptop was just shut and ordered to leave the said meeting.
According to Wambui, she was assaulted and that her finger can barely stretch after the incident. She continued by revealing that it was not the first time that Havi has attempted to assault her but this time he succeeded to do so.
