Netherlands netted two late goals in the second half to beat African champions Senegal in the ongoing Qatar World Cup.
PSV striker Gakpo met De Jong’s header in the 84th minute before beating Mendy in the air to give Netherlands the lead.
In what had ended in a goalless first half, Senegal looked hopeful to walk out with a win as they threatened in counter attacks even without the services of Sadio Mane.

Boulaye Dia came close to breaking the deadlock but his effort went wide. Idrissa Gueye also came close to score but his strike was blocked by Andries Noppert who was making hsi debut for the national team.
The results now leave Senegal last in their group and below World Cup host Qatar who lost to Ecuador in the opening clash of the tournament.
In other news of the day, England kicked off the tournament on high spirits beating Iran 6-2 thanks to a double from Arsenal star boy Bukayo Saka.
The Arsenal winger netted two lovely goals in both halves as Raheem Stirling, Jude Bellingham, Marcus Rashford and Grealish ensured their names were on the scoreboard.
