Nick Mwendwa questioned by DCI over missing funds

Football Kenya Federation, FKF President Nick Mwendwa has on Thursday been grilled by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation over misappropriation of funds.

Mwendwa is reported to have arrived at the DCI Headquarters on Thursday morning where he was grilled for sometime before he left.

The detectives were looking into answers into how Ksh 244 million allocated for Harambee Stars during the 2019 African Cup of Nation.

Nick Mwendwa was however unavailable when reached out for comments including FKF Secretary Barry Otieno.

Also under investigation is Ksh 4 million that was sent over to be spent by Harambee Stars to prepare for the upcoming African Cup of Nation match against African champions Egypt.

Also under investigation is Ksh 125 million that was reported to have been spent to purchase an van to be used for outside broadcasting that has never been seen.
