North Korea has reported its first suspected case of coronavirus prompting its leader Kim Jong un to declare an emergency.
According to State Media KCNA, the case originated from a person who crossed from South Korea pending confirmation from health officials.
An emergency politburo meeting was convened by Kim Jong un to discus about the case reported from a person who had defected to the South and returned three years later exhibiting the symptoms.

At the moment,the suspected person has been quarantined after medical officers took samples from his blood and respiratory organs.
Reports indicate that North Korea was not only convening a meeting but was suggesting need for help when it comes to the pandemic.
Recently they have been slapped with sanctions given their nuclear dealings that have attracted the attention of international communities.
South Korea on the other hand is confirming if there is a case of a run away who crossed to the North as alleged.
Thousands of testing kits have already been sent to North Korea from Russia to fight the virus as they imposed restrictions at its borders.
