NTSA suspends Modern Coast license over recent accidents

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has suspended the license of Modern Coast following recent accident incidents.

In addition to the license suspension, police have been instructed to impound any of the buses operating at the moment.

The recent action follows a recent accident involving two of their buses that collided at Salama area killing seven people.

Five of the passengers died on the spot as two others succumbed to their injuries.

62 others are reported to have sustained injuries following the Wednesday accident at Kiongwani area along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.

Three weeks ago one person died after a bus from the same company hit a bump and rolled at Broke, Kericho County.

In June a matatu collided with a Modern Coast bus at Bungoma killing eight people on the spot.
