The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Disability league has come out to defend remarks made by MP Junet Mohamed to Senator Isaac Mwaura.
ODM first notes down how strongly committed they are to the social protection of people living with disabilities.
They continue by briefly sharing its history of promoting inclusivity and being the first party in the country to establish a person with a disability league and went ahead to nominate Hon. Isaac Mwaura a person living with albinism.

- Junet Mohamed apologizes to people born with albinism
It is due to the above that the league described the comments by Hon. Junet Mohamed to Hon. Isaac Mwaura as an individual to an individual without targeting a group of people or community.
The sentiments by ODM follows a statement issued by Suna East MP Junet Mohamed accusing Mwaura of using his disability to gain political favour.
Albinism society of Kenya condemned the statement as they asked the legislator to apologize or take up the matter with NCIC
Hon. Junet apologized but remained firm on the character of the nominated Senator who was recently kicked out by Jubilee Party due to his support of DP William Ruto.
“I want to apologize to people born with albinism. My comments in no way reflects my opinions of them as upstanding citizens of our county. My comments were directed at the rotten character of Isaac Mwaura who exploits his disability for personal gain and incitement of violence” Said Junet
