Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has nominated former Sol-Generation singer Crystal Asige to the Senate where she will represent people living with a disability.
Asige’s name has been forwarded to the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission (IEBC) with a clear description that the singer will represent people living with a disability in the country.

The talented singer came into the limelight after joining the boy band Sol Generation working alongside Nviri, Bensoul, and the entire Sauti Sol band. She was the only female member of the group.
She however left the band back in 2019 under unclear circumstances but she has still been recording and performing songs.
Asige will join other new faces who have been nominated by various political parties in both the Senate and Parliament. United Democratic Alliance has fronted the name of Charles Njagua for nomination in the Parliament.
