ODM resolves to expel Aisha Jumwa and Suleiman Dori

The Orange Democratic Party (ODM) has resolved to expel two of its members namely Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and Suleiman Dori of Msambweni.

The decision comes after the ODM National Executive Council held a meeting after receiving a report from the disciplinary committee which recommended the expulsion of the two members.

Speaking after the meeting on Thursday, party secretary general Edwin Sifuna said that they have forwarded the recommendation to the national governing council for immediate action.

In addition to that Mr. Edwin Sifuna said that NEC has also directed the party Minority Whip Junet Mohammed to write to the National Assembley speaker recommending the removal of the law makers from their seats they currently hold from being members of ODM.

Other recommendations from the disciplinary board were the expulsion of six MCA, six from Homabay and one from Busia.

On Thursday they however felt a sign of relief following an argument that their case was still in court.
