Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has on Thursday postponed the vetting process of the party’s presidential candidate over the BBI process.
In a statement issued by the party’s Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna, he thanked the candidates for their bold step towards submitting their applications as he wished them all the best.
Sifuna then confirms that a meeting was carried out between ODM party leaders and NEB and they resolved the remaining vetting process to focus on the BBI process.

The news comes hours after the party revealed three candidates set to bettle it for the party’s top seat position and the included Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
“Three party members Raila Odinga (PL) Hassan Ali Joho (DPL) & Gov W Oparanya have expressed interest in the party Presidential Ticket for the 2022 general election. We wish them all the best as they seek the node of the party delegates.” Said ODM
The entrance of Hon. Raila Odinga put to rest speculations as to whether he will vie for the top seat given the BBI drive and handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Allies close to the two including COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli hinted of a Raila’s presidency with the two leaders meeting severally together with other leaders to forge the way forward.
