Police in Ohio shot and killed a 16-year-old black girl who was seen on video in the process of stabbing another person with a knife.
In a video released by the police, the unidentified police shot the 16-year-old before falling to the ground as he rushed to remove the knife close to her.
The news caused protest in the city of Ohio at a time when the U.S was waiting for the verdict of one Derek Chauvin, a police officer accused of killing George Floyd back in May last year.

Police reports in the city revealed that they had received a 911 call about one person who about to stab another person when his men responded.
Onlooker could be seen at the background before the young girl identified as Ma’Khia Bryant was shot and collpased to the ground. She was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to the wounds inflicted.
Bryant’s mother spoke after the incident describing her girl as a young, peaceful, little girl. Investigation are set to commerce to determine whether the police were justified to shoot in the first place.
Andrew Ginther, the Mayor of Columbus described it as a horrible and heartbreaking thing to happen as he called on people to pray for her family.
