An aircraft has crashed in Malindi after failing to go higher enough crushing at an electric post.
The aircraft which is said to belong to Kenya School of Flying was heading to Ukunda when the accident occurred at around 10:30am.
The pilot was safely rescued from the wreckage before being taken to Tawfique Hospital in Malindi for treatment.
At the time of the accident, the aircraft is said to have one person on board.

Witnesses say that the pilot trainee was trying to divert from a swamp but the aircraft could not go higher enough hitting the electric pole and falling on top of a house. A resident in Malindi said that they had a loud buzzing sound before they saw it crashing on top of the house.
The Kenya Airport Authority, Fire Brigade and the police arrived shortly after the accident.
Investigations have been launched into the accident.
