Kenya has on Friday recorded 254 new COVID-19 recoveries pushing the cumulative number of recoveries in the country to 243,591.
The new recoveries comprise of 216 patients from home-based care and 38 from various health facilities across the country.
“Today 254 patients have recovered from coronavirus disease; 216 from Home-Based Isolation & Care program & 38 are from various health facilities countrywide.

Total recoveries now stand at 243,591 of whom 196,925 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 46,666 are from various health facilities countrywide.” Said Ministry of Health.
Sadly, one patient succumbed to the disease pushing the cumulative number of deaths in the country to 5,179. The death is from facility audits in the month of October 2021.
“One patient has succumbed to the coronavirus disease. The death was reported after conducting facility record audits in the month of October 2021. This now pushes the cumulative fatalities to 5,179.

A total of 841 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities; 1,833 are under the Home-Based Isolation & Care program. 51 patients are in the ICU, 34 of whom are on ventilatory support and 16 on supplemental oxygen. No patient is under observation.
282 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 274 of them in general wards and 8 in High Dependency Units (HDU).” Said Ministry of Health.
