Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele has come forward to express his sincere apologize over a video of himself in bitter exchange with Asian workers in Japan.
The video recorded on Snapchat back in 2019 was shared widely forcing the Frenchman to address the issue as it had drawn criticism among many people including his followers.
In the 42 second video, Dembele was in the company of fellow Frenchman Antoine Griezmann during the club’s preseason tour as he requested the technicians to fix their game to the television.

In his own words he referred to them as ugly as he mocked their language before questioning the country if it is advanced or not.
Taking on social media, the winger extended his apology saying that the incident could have happened in any country and that he was not targeting any community at the time.
Recently a private video dating from 2019 has been circulating on social media. As it happens it is in Japan — it could have been anywhere on the planet and I would have used the same expressions. I wasn’t targeting any community,” Said Ousmane Dembele.
Fellow teammate Griezmann also extended his apology saying that he did not intend to wrong his Japanese friends.
