French winger Ousmane Dembele has been issued a 48 hour ultimatum to decide his future with Barcelona.
It is understood that a new contract was already in place but the 24-year-old has been hesitant to sign as the deal is lower given the financial constraints at the club.
Through his agent Moussa Sissoko, the former Dortmund player requested a £700,000 a week salary something that shocked manager Xavi Hernandez.

Since joining the Spaniards in 2017 from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund for £96million, Dembele has failed to live up to his price as he struggled with form injuries making just six appearances this season.
The Catalans are keen to cash from the Frenchman as his contract is due at the end of the season. If he turns down the offer, Barcelona will quickly find the best deal.
Several clubs are on the rush to get the 24-year-old’s signature with the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Tottenham already monitoring his situation in Spain.
