Panic as woman is admitted in Kericho with Ebola symptoms

Panic as a woman in was on Sunday evening put in isolation after she was taken at the Kericho County Referral Hospital with Ebola-like symptoms.

The woman is said to have traveled from Malaba, an area which neighbors Uganda where Ebola cases have already been reported.

Health officials are on high alert with blood samples from the patient already sent to Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) for further investigation.

Following the panic, nobody is allowed inside the isolation room where the patient is.

The hospital claims it has all the necessary resources to ensure proper isolation.
