Residents of Kieni East are in a panic after a man collapsed and died at Chaka trading centre on Saturday.

Health personnel were called to the scene in the company of police officers to collect the body before tests could be conducted to determine the cause of death.

The news come at time when the Ministry of Health through CAS Dr. Mercy Mwangangi confirmed disturbing news of people literally dropping dead.

She calmed the nation by saying that not all incidents are COVID-19 related as she called on Kenyans to exercise caution when in public.

The same message has been echoed by CS Mutahi Kagwe who confirmed many young people succumbing to the virus lately.

He was speaking as he pointed out how the disease does not only kill the old but the young should also exercise caution.

Kagwe was speaking on Saturday as he confirmed the highest number of deaths in the country at 23 bringing to the number of deaths so far confirmed to 364.
